Tora-Con is the RIT Anime Club's annual convention, bringing the anime experience to Rochester and western New York.

Tora-Con 2013 Sunday Schedule Changes

Sunday Schedule Changes:

*NEW ADDITIONS*
12:00pm - Autographs - Vocaloid will be in the SAU (4) - Reading room

3:00pm - Vocaloid Q&A will be in SAU (4) - Bamboo Room

*ROOM/TIME CHANGES*
9:00am - Lake Texerkana Gamera will be in Liberal Arts Hall (6) - Room A201

12:00pm - Cosplay 101 has moved to James E booth (7) - Room 1420

2:00pm - Mahjong 201 has been extended for an extra hour (now 2 hrs in length)

Friday Night Badge Pickup

If you have pre-registered for Tora-Con, you will be able to pick up your badge on Friday night. To pick up your Pre-Registration badge, you'll need to make your way to the SAU area of RIT. There is a page with directions on how to get to the RIT campus where the convention is held. You'll want to park in either Parking Lot D or E. If both of those lots are full, then try Parking Lot F and Parking Lot U. Here's a map that will show you how to get to the SAU.

Basic Day-of Schedule Regarding the Cosplay Contest

Below you will find a schedule for the days activities for all the entrants in the contest including times and locations. This is subject to change depending on the final schedule. Please note that these rehearsals and the judging will be closed to everyone but the contestants themselves until the start of the show at 4pm.

9am-Cosplay Check-in for exact times and locations of where the rehearsal and judging will occur.

How to get into Tora-Con for free!

Our Pre-Registration closes on February 23rd, but there is a couple of ways to also get into Tora-Con for free! Here are some options for you!

Cosplay Contest now open!

Are you coming to Tora-Con in cosplay? Why don't you join our fan-favorite Cosplay Contest! You have three methods to enter; Mail-in, webform, or in person at Tora-Con. You can find out all the details at our newly-updated webpage, located here!

If you haven't Pre-Registered yet for Tora-Con 2013, send in your Pre-Registration soon! Pre-Registration closes on February 23rd.

AMV Contest is now open!

Calling all AMV editors! Tora-Con 2013's AMV Contest is now open! Please head on over to our AMV Contest page for all of the details on the rules and the submission forms! The deadline for entries is March 15th, 2013! So get working on that great AMV and we look forward to seeing it at Tora-Con 2013!

Guest update

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Chris Sabat has had to cancel his appearance at Tora-Con 2013. We apologize to all of you who were hoping to meet him, but we hope you still enjoy the rest of the guest lineup. In addition, we still have one final guest/event to announce as soon as the paperwork is finalized, so stay tuned!

Tora-Con 2013 Panel Submission is open!

Do you want to run a panel or a workshop at Tora-Con? Do you have a topic that you are passionate about and want to discuss it with others who share that passion? If so, you should submit a panel to Tora-Con! Plus, if you run 4 or more hours of panels, you will be reimbursed for your registration.

If you are interested in submitting a panel, you can submit one with this online form.

Tora-Con 2013 registration is open!

Registration for Tora-Con 2013 is now offically open! Please read over the convention rules and FAQ, then head on over to http://toracon.rit.edu/content/registration to download the registration form.

Pre-registration for the weekend is $20 and will end on February 23, 2013. Better get going soon, though, because we're once again capping attendance at 2500 for each day. At-door registration will only be available if we don't reach the cap.
