Tora-Con is opening up what we are calling "Art Submissions." The basic idea is that if you make a piece of artwork and submit it to Tora-Con for us to use for the convention, we will reward you if we use it. If we like your artwork and we use it, you will be rewarded with TWO free Tora-Con pre-registrations. So that can be for both you and a friend! That's a $40 value for just one good piece of artwork. And just to make the deal even sweeter, if it doesn't get used for this year's Tora-Con, we'll hold onto it for all further conventions. That means if we use it next year, you will still get the two free convention pre-registrations for that convention (regardless of pre-registration price). So it never hurts to send something in and until we change the rules it is always open!
For full list of rules, requirements, and how to submit artwork, please see our Art Submissions Rules Page here:
Art Suggestions:
Tora-Con is named because we are located at RIT, whose mascot is a tiger. And in Japanese, "Tora" means tiger. So the artwork we could really use should have some connection to tigers in some way. Or it could be something that has a tiger print on it. Be creative!
Works that use copyrighted characters or logos can not be accepted. So use your creative mind to create brand new characters and designs!
Digital artwork that uses thick lines, not shaded, and in vectors always works great on t-shirts. If you've been to previous Tora-Cons, you'll notice that we always have a bunch of custom t-shirt designs so these are always in need. Since everybody likes cool shirts!
